Dr. Verkhoshanky,

I would like to thank you for all your help in understanding "Shock Training". What exercises would a team use during the competitive season after completing the block training? For example after completing the three blocks for shock training, What type training should a team to keep their explosive strength for the season. The team sports could be American football or basketball..

Mr. Buirch,

When inseason for football, explosive strength should be in maintainance. This means that the exercises you should have used in early blocks of training (such as box jumps) are now considered relatively low stimuli. These means can be used for maintainance.

When inseason for basketball, explosive strength is maintained by the sport itself. The focus of training should be on maintaining/improving the biological power of the athlete.
